Why Students fail IT Certifications
Information Technology (IT) has recently become the biggest trend globally. The IT phenomenon has affected everyone with all walks of life and they want to profit from it. The certifications have become absolutely mandatory regardless if they have any use for it or not. If you are switching careers or wants to establish as serious IT personnel a little research goes a long way. There are some major factors why the IT students fail to realize how they can take advantage from these certifications or otherwise become quite a nuisance.

High expectations:
Expecting a great deal from a single IT certification will only frustrate and disappoint you. Employers are searching for not just technical skills, but also relevant experience. They want someone who can do the job well and in budget and on time. Along with product knowledge you need problem solving skills and consistent judgment. Your social skills also play a major factor since nobody wants you to offend their client.
Reason #2
The rage:
It’s understandable that anyone can be swept away by the latest IT rage, but it’s highly unacceptable that you don’t see the occurring drawback in time. Making the best of the IT frenzy should be your intention and not repeating mistakes of the others. Your friends or co- workers might be doing one certification or the other, but it doesn’t mean that case will apply to you. Their education background and career path might not be relevant in you instance.

Loosing touch with reality
After you have received your certification it doesn’t mean you just stop there. You need to continuously learn new skills and expand your knowledge in your field. The more experience you have the better you would able to perform at your job. And if it means taking a couple of more certifications along the way according to your scope then don’t hesitate to do so. It will enhance your qualifications further into a well developed resume.
Everyone needs a reality check every now and then and reasons of failure provide above are to educate you making a sound decision, however not to disillusion you.
